Why I chose a Sunflower for a Logo
I have chosen a sunflower for my logo because the colour and energy of sunflowers represent vital life force for me. After they bloom, they remain fixated towards the East where the sun rises. I am fixated towards the possibility of thriving.
In ancient Greece a nymph called Clytie fell deeply in love with Apollo the God of the sun. Although Clytie was beautiful, Apollo did not reciprocate her feelings and after nine days of hopeless devotion Clytie transformed herself into a sunflower so she could always look at the one she loved in the hope that one day he would change his mind
Sunflowers have come to symbolize unwavering faith and unconditional love.
In the same way, I invite you to set your attention and focus on thriving, have faith in yourself and your innate strengths and abilities, regardless of what is going on around you and turn towards yourself with unconditional love …
It is in the sometimes uncomfortable inner work of relating to ourselves, that we find the solutions to the problems of relating to others and the world around us.
What makes Monica the "Unconventional Therapist" is that she has a gift for asking questions that invite you to explore your previously held beliefs about yourself. I've learnt so much about ME, and how certain unconscious, yet strongly held beliefs, have shaped my reactions. There's almost none of that "how do you feel" nonsense!
Her style is conversational and personable, which invites confidence, and yet she's practical and clever, which leads to tangible results.
Monica will challenge you, but not in a threatening manner, and she will constantly check in on how you're feeling throughout the process of self discovery. She's incredibly warm, caring, personable and super intelligent. I would highly recommend her.
